“Being humane is the most extraordinary characteristic of human beings.”
- Francesca Lavazza
The New Humanity, which is also the title of the new Lavazza Calendar, is a personal and collective renaissance that emerged from a dramatic moment, a shared experience of closed reclusion, which inspired us to draw on our talents and sensibilities, to open our minds and hearts and to rebuilt foster deeper values of respect, inclusion and sustainability.
With this project, Lavazza hopes to build a bridge between people, offering them a new vision of the world and bringing them together using art as a universal language. It is a transformational movement that aims at redefining the relationship between individuals and their community by focusing on what has always been important: environment, sustainability, diversity and respect for people.
By Christy LEE ROGERS
“Lavazza has heart and soul.”
- Christy Lee Rogers
This is what spoke to Christy Lee Rogers most about this project and what inspired her to join forces with the Lavazza team to create the cover of the Lavazza 2021 Calendar.
Christy sees Art as a doorway into the soul and she believes that it can be used to look beyond the limited confines of what’s right before our eyes. The new Humanity project does exactly this.
With Christy’s love of water as her artistic muse for the 2021 Lavazza Calendar cover project, she places focus on hope and beauty, but most importantly on our vulnerability as humanity and how we can find our most profound strengths by learning how to navigate it.
Through this project, Christy hopes to inspire others to imagine a better future, a better world. A world where people uplift each other. A world that shows humanity. A new humanity that puts their heart and soul into everything they do, much like Lavazza.
In an event that is all about the New Humanity, the Lavazza 2021 Calendar will be revealed to the public through a mosaic of voices from the Lavazza community and beyond, carrying both a warning and a message of hope.
